September 2009 General Body Meeting
"WE MISSED YOU! The National Society of Black Engineers held its 2nd general body meeting for the 2009-2010' year. Kristi Jackson of the Jackson Real Estate Group and Steven Kaufman of Zeus Mortgage spoke to NSBE members about buying, selling, and investing in real estate. Members came eager to learn about how to make difficult decisions about real estate in a buyers market. Kristi and Steven both agreed and made it very clear that there has never and will never be a better time to buy or invest in real estate! Those in attendance were able to learn about everything from good and bad credit scores to special tax credits available for first time home buyers. Many members were surprised to learn of the $2,000 mortgage credit that in addition to the $8,000 tax credit allowed new home buyers to save even more exclusively in the state of Texas!
